Art changes its face to match our perspective. The versatility and complexity of glass allow me to express the faces of my realities.
Cheryl has worked with many media: watercolor, acrylics, clay, plaster, collage, fabric and paper, and now finds her home with glass. Growing up near Corning Glass Works in New York state probably has something to do with her long time fascination with the material. The kiln-formed art brings together Cheryl's creative experiences and and she flourishes in the studio among the sparkling shards of glass.
Cheryl has studied with such accomplished glass artists as Jayne Persico, Michael Dupille, Kerry Transtrum and Sarinda Jones. She has shown her work in the Patrick Moore Gallery, Red Butte Gardens, Salt Lake City Library and The Riverton Arts Museum.
Cheryl received the Award of Merit for her black and green bracelet at the 2008 Salt Lake City Library show and the Award of Merit at the 2008 Gathering of Glass show at the Patrick Moore Gallery.
